International Gay Rodeo Association members and rodeo workers celebrate Nicole Reighlie, who was just certified as a chute coordinator, and Barbara Bugg, who retired as a chute volunteer, by spraying them with silly string at the end of the Texas Tradition Rodeo, a rodeo hosted by the Texas Gay Rodeo Association in Denton, Texas, on April 16, 2023. As cowboys compete in classic daredevil rodeo events such as slalom pole-bending barrel-racing, calf-lassoing and bull riding, contestants also competed in "Wild Drag Racing," in which cowboys in sparkly dresses and extravagant wigs try to fling themselves atop bucking steers -- this is a gay rodeo.
