This medium is reminiscent of the old recipes of the Van Eyck brothers in the 16th century. It allows a precise, transparent and brilliant execution. It brings depth and luminosity to the painting. It allows for light impasto or knife-stretched flat tints reminiscent of lacquer finishes. Diluted to 50% with glossy painting medium, it can be used for glazes. Dense and lead-free, it is composed of linseed oil and mastic resin. It dries more slowly than Venetian medium, helping you to obtain an even finish.
