Performance Blue. The European based Ford Focus was introduced in 1998, it replaced the Ford Escort in Europe and the Ford Laser in Asia and Australasia. The second generation was built from 2004-10, this platform was shared with the Volvo S40 and the Mazda 3. Built in Germany and Spain, Australian models were built in South Africa. Models in Australia were the CL and LX in a 4 door Saloon or a 5 door Hatchback in the luxury Ghia or the hot hatch; Focus ST (Europe) or XR5 (Australia), In 2009 the RS Focus was introduced to replace the Focus ST, using the same 2.5l 5 cylinder Turbo Volvo engine but now with 301 bhp. 500 all black limited edition RS500 were made with 351 bhp Focus RS available in three expressive exterior colours: Ultimate Green, Performance Blue and Frozen White
