Questa penna stilografica in edizione limitata rievoca il periodo che l’artista trascorse ad Arles, con dettagli decorativi che richiamano i campi di grano della Provenza, nonché uno dei suoi più celebri dipinti: “Girasoli”. Il numero 1888 inciso sull’anello del corpo - accanto alla firma di Vincent in arancione brillante - ricorda l’anno in cui si trasferì ad Arles. Il corpo è decorato in tonalità di giallo e arancione che rievocano i paesaggi assolati della Francia del Sud, mentre la celebre serie di cinque dipinti di girasoli ha ispirato la versione goffrata sul pennino lavorato a mano in oro massiccio Au 750 finitura rodio. La spatola utilizzata per decorare i suoi dipinti ha ispirato la clip finitura platino, mentre le sue ampie pennellate sono evocate dalla lacca gialla sulla parte superiore del cappuccio. Inoltre, la sua passione per la pipa, presente in molti dei suoi autoritratti, è catturata in un raffinato dettaglio della clip: la parte superiore ha la forma della testa di una pipa ed è riempita di pregiata resina gialla. In omaggio all’amore di Vincent per le tradizionali xilografie giapponesi, la forma complessiva è ispirata a un coltello da intaglio giapponese, mentre il cappuccio è realizzato in legno. L’edizione è coronata da un emblema Montblanc in pregiata resina gialla.
